The creator behind AO Terrarium.

After years working in the corporate world of finance, I went on maternity leave after having my third baby and found myself in a slower season of life. In those quieter moments, away from the usual rush, my creativity started to come alive again.

It was during that year that I had a sudden inspiration to get creative — and this time, it was building tiny ecosystems in glass.

A love of miniature worlds

I've always loved plants, nature, and tiny details. There's something about miniature worlds that has always fascinated me — the imagination behind small ornaments, little landscapes, and creating something beautiful on a tiny scale.

Terrariums became the perfect combination of everything I loved. They are a way to garden in miniature form — a chance to create your own little ecosystem, bring nature indoors, and watch something living grow over time.

Why AO Terrarium exists

I started AO Terrarium not only to create beautiful terrariums for people's homes, but to share the experience of making them.

There is something special about sitting down, using your hands, and creating without rushing. Whether it's through our workshops or DIY kits, I wanted to give people a space to slow down, connect, and discover the joy of building something living.

More and more, people are looking for fulfilling experiences where they can connect with friends — over and above the monotony of brunch on the weekend. Instead of consuming, we crave the ability to create.
