1. Live Terrariums & Plants

Our terrariums contain live plants and natural materials. While every terrarium is created with care and supplied in healthy condition, the long-term health of plants depends on factors beyond our control once they leave our care. These factors may include (but are not limited to) light levels, temperature, humidity, watering, handling, and placement in your home.

By purchasing a live terrarium, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Natural variation and plant loss can occur over time
  • We cannot guarantee the lifespan or ongoing condition of live plants
  • We are not responsible for plant decline, damage, or death once the terrarium has been collected or delivered

For this reason, all sales of live terrariums are final and we do not offer refunds or replacements for plant loss occurring after collection or delivery.

2. Care Responsibility

Care instructions are provided as guidance only. It is the customer’s responsibility to follow these instructions and to monitor their terrarium over time.

We are not liable for any issues resulting from:

  • Overwatering or underwatering
  • Insufficient or excessive light
  • Exposure to heat, cold, or direct sunlight
  • Environmental changes after purchase
  • Accidental damage or mishandling

3. Workshops & DIY Kits

By participating in a terrarium workshop or purchasing a DIY terrarium kit, you acknowledge that:

  • Each participant’s terrarium outcome may vary
  • Plant survival cannot be guaranteed due to environmental and care factors after the workshop
  • We are not responsible for plant loss, deterioration, or changes once the workshop has concluded or the kit has been used

No refunds or replacements are provided for plant loss occurring after a workshop or after a DIY kit has been taken home.

4. Delivery & Damage Claims

If your order includes delivery, please inspect your terrarium upon arrival.

Any issues related to:

  • Damaged glassware
  • Severely damaged plants
  • Missing items

must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, along with clear photographic evidence.

Claims made after 24 hours may not be eligible for a remedy, as plant condition can change rapidly due to environmental factors outside our control.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by New Zealand law:

  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from the purchase or use of our products or services
  • Our liability, if any, is limited to the purchase price of the product or workshop

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, where applicable.

6. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing from our website, attending a workshop, or receiving a terrarium, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
